How to Activate IEC on ICEGATE?

Once you have obtained your Import Export Code (IEC) from DGFT, it must be registered and activated on the ICEGATE portal to enable electronic filing of documents with Indian Customs. Activation ensures that your IEC is linked with your customs transactions and allows you to use online services like Bill of Entry and Shipping Bill filing.

To activate:

1. Visit the ICEGATE website.
2. Click on “IEC Registration” under the Services section.
3. Enter your IEC number, GSTIN (if applicable), PAN, and other required details.
4. Provide a valid email ID and mobile number for OTP verification.
5. Upload any necessary supporting documents in the prescribed format.
6. Submit the application and verify via the OTP sent to your registered contact details.

Once approved, you will receive confirmation from ICEGATE, and your IEC will be active for customs operations. Keep your login credentials safe and ensure all details match DGFT records to avoid delays.
